LUCREZIA & SIMONE
They met at school when they were 18 years old. They set eyes on each other and almost immediately got together. It sounds like a fairy tale, doesn’t it? Wait, the story gets better!
Lucrezia and Simone are a beautiful couple that decided to explore the world side by side, and they left their homeland Sardinia in Italy to move to England soon after finishing school. In the UK, they picked their paths, made their grown-up moves and found their careers. After seven years, the proposal came: watching the sunset, walking alone on a romantic Sardinia beach. One of those stories people write books about!
They chose to get married in one of the most romantic wedding venues in London, Hall Place & Gardens, enclosed by history and elegance and were blessed with a beautiful sunny day. I felt privileged to be able to be their Hall Place & Gardens wedding photographer and capture the moments of their special day.
I will be there for you
I often accompany brides as they get ready, have their hair and make-up done, put on their dresses and have fun with their bridal party. It is usually a ladies-only zone, and all the buzz and expectation of the day fills the air as everyone does their best to help the bride relax. How lovely it was to photograph Lucrezia’s unique getting-ready time with the presence, not only of her lady friends and family members, but of her father!
“It was so special to see my father so happy, emotional and proud during that moment. He was discreet and made sure everything was perfect for me and went as planned. He is and will always be my biggest fan.”
One dress, two dresses
Lucrezia looked stunning in her princess-like wedding dress - a corset with a V neckline, an open back, delicate flower beads and two layers of lace in the skirt - a timeless gown to mark one of the most special days of her love story. Her make-up was light and tasteful, reflecting her style, and she smartly picked comfortable and pretty shoes to be able to seize the day. It was such an elegant and romantic choice, perfect for their wedding photos at Hall Place & Gardens.
For the evening, Lucrezia changed into a pretty short dress, light grey and sparkly, with a hint of 1950’s in its cut. It made it all so fun to do their Hall Place wedding photography, having a second look to register at the end of the day. According to Lucrezia, it was one of her best choices, and the one advice she would give to brides-to-be: have a short dress for the party! I loved seeing how Lucrezia danced so freely. Why only have one dress, when you can have two?
