Jolanta & Rytis
Jolanta and Rytis were high school sweethearts, living a beautiful love story. When they got engaged they gave themselves a whole year to enjoy the season before getting married. It is such a unique time in a couple’s life, of planning and decisions, of dreaming and sorting out how to start married life. It may have its own challenges, but it is a special moment of developing a vision of how they want to tie the knot and it is a time that will never repeat for that couple!
Jolanta and Rytis had us document their ceremony and photoshoot session after they became husband and wife, giving us the chance to do some wonderful wedding photography and videography in London and eternalise their special day in this fantastic city.
Intimate and unique
I love that they decided to go for a very intmist micro wedding, with few guests and focusing on what was the most important for them. A micro wedding gives the couple the chance to celebrate and share their day with loved ones but allows them to shape their wedding in a unique, customised way. It is a combination of both traditional and non-conventional elements, and it is very sweet and special.
For Jolanta and Rytis, it resulted in a super romantic day, full of personality and beauty. They had only the closest loved ones around them, investing in what was really important to make their day special. It was a joy for me to do their micro wedding photography in London, in the stunning St Mark’s Hamilton Terrace.
The English rose
Elegance and femininity were the heart of Jolanta’s style choice. She went for a classic A-line gown, complemented with a V-neck covered by graceful tulle and a pretty shoulder line. The sleeves had delicate details, creating a romantic and timeless look. I love that she wore vintage tulle bridal gloves, perfect for romantic wedding videography in London.
Her look
She looked absolutely pretty on her wedding day. She took inspiration from the delicate English rose for her make-up, with a vibrant coral pop of colour, that matched perfectly her ivory veil, pearl jewellery, bridal gloves and wedding hair vine that reminded miniature berries.
The Bouquet
Her romantic coral bridal bouquet was put together by Jolanta herself with the help of her mother and sister. It was a hand-tied arrangement with lavender flowers, stocks, seed heads and rene goscinny, romantic antique, and Antigua spray roses. I love how stunning her flowers looked, and how it was made by people that truly know and love this couple. A bouquet that not only looked flawless when held by Jolanta’s bridal gloves but had the most pleasant scent.
Arrival in Grand Style
The beautiful bride arrived at the church in style in a luxury vintage wedding car Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud. Besides being a wonderfully tasteful way of arriving at the wedding venue, is a perfect addition to sophisticated wedding photography in London.
The beautiful & historic church
A church wedding is always a lovely, classic choice. Churches are places of gathering and reflection, often filled with history and art. Jolanta and Rytis chose the romantic and marvellous St Mark’s Hamilton Terrace at St John’s Wood, a wonderful Grade II*-listed building as their place to become husband and wife. It was a perfect choice for romantic wedding videography in London and, as a London wedding photographer, I am thankful I had the opportunity to register this wedding in such a beautiful building.
One of London's gem
It was so wonderful to be able to do Jolanta and Rytis Historic St Mark’s church in London wedding photography: a beautiful building, full of romantic details and enchanting architecture, a real treasure in the middle of the city. It was a fantastic choice, that accommodated their desires for this intimate celebration and beauty brilliantly. Being it a micro wedding, I love how all the guests could sit by Jolanta and Rytis, in the stunningly adorned choir pews, making their Historic St Mark’s church in London wedding photography really special, allowing me to capture them all in front of the wooden panels, giving the photos a timeless touch.
I was shocked to learn that this beautiful church was sadly destroyed by a terrible fire in January 2023. I lament for this church and its community, those that lost their place of worship, and all the art and history that were lost.
Architecture & Nature
After saying “I do”, we had a special couple of hours with Jolanta and Rytis. We first explored the beautiful gardens and romantic architecture of the Historic St Mark’s church in London to do their wedding photography. We took romantic pictures of the couple around the building and also registered the essential photos with their loved ones, making the most of the soft autumnal light that we were blessed with on that day.
London is our Garden
As a London wedding photographer, I love capturing the different corners of this wonderful city, with its busy streets, magnificent parks and historical landmarks. London is a timeless place to get married, and it only got better with the luxury vintage wedding car Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud Jolanta and Rytis hired for their special day. We went together to the surroundings of Regent’s Park, capturing the autumnal turning of colour and then to the indispensable Westminster, in front of the Houses of Parliament for romantic London wedding photography.
It was so special that of all the things that Jolanta and Rytis decided to prioritise in their romantic micro wedding, one of them was their photo session after the ceremony.
They both looked so elegant, and the memories we eternalised in the pictures will stay with them forever.
